Stasiun ini memiliki kode (SRP), yang merupakan stasiun kereta api di Jawa kelas I. Lokasiya berada di Serpong, Tangerang Selatan, dan tak jauh dari Bumi Serpong Damai.
Stasiun Serpong berada pada ketinggian 46 meter diaatas permukaan laut.
Stasiun Serpong ini berada pada jalur Green Line KRL Commuterline yang memiliki tujuan ke beberapa stasiun seperti Tanahabang, Parungpanjang dan Rangkasbitung.
Stasiun ini masih masuk ke dalam Daerah Operasi I Jakarta.
Dulu ini adalah stasiun akhir untuk KRL Commuterline Jabodetabek. Namun sekarang rutenya diperpanjang sampai Stasiun Rangkasbitung.
